AERO CLUB

Based at the Wanganui Airport, the Wanganui Aero Club is operates at an uncontrolled airport with in a central location in the North Island, making it easy to reach a lot of New Zealand by air.

We are available Tuesday-Friday to arrange bookings, and Tuesday-Sunday for operating hours.  

 

The Wanganui Aero Club has a very active social scene. We have regular 'fly away' trips to locations all around New Zealand, weekly get-togethers at our club rooms in Wanganui and participate widely in local and national sports as well as aviation competitions.

 

Our Young Eagles programme allows youth the chance to experience aviation up close and personal, perfect for a pathway into a PPL for aspiring aviators.

 

Although not a 'Flight School' any more, we still provide professional flight training for Recreational to Commercial Pilot Licences and further on a in-formal pay as you go basis.

The Wanganui Aero Club was established in 1929 and was one of the first Commercial Flight Training establishments in Australasia. We have over eighty years experience training recreational and commercial pilots.
